Level I: Earthcraft certified

Level II: Level I + upgrades such as (but not limited to)

• locally or sustainably-sourced custom cabinetry
• locally or sustainably-sourced hardwood floors
• eco-friendly countertops

Level III: Levels I & II + upgrades such as (not limited to)

• geo-thermal heating/cooling system

• solar hot water
• metal roof
• wind turbine

Eric Beck, President of Beck Builders, initiated building of the first "Earth-Craft" homes in the Shenandoah Valley and has now built over 50 Earth-Craft homes in the Valley. He has been instrumental in providing green building, including weatherization services, solar options, and energy efficient homes to many homeowners in the Valley.  We value working with you to address energy-efficiency or questions you might have in your home construction or remodeling project.  "Weatherization" is a name for a number of remodeling or new construction options that improve energy-efficiency such as providing an energy audit and sealing air leaks so families can save money on heating/cooling costs.  Helping interested consumers re-purpose living spaces and re-use or adapt existing materials is an aspect of sustainable building, and is budget-saving for the customer.  We have been involved in creating "healthy homes" long before "green" remodeling became popular since it was a need for our own family.  Years ago we also began reducing construction waste up to 90%, including re-cycling materials, thus lessening the impact of construction on the environment.  What "shade of green" you choose for your construction or home renovation project is up to you; we can provide great green options, but if that's not your thing, we're most importantly an experienced builder!
